Description

Alright, this is still a work-in-progress

So, recently I was able to get a copy of "SMT" Tokyo Revelation, and it got me remembering how much I wanted to have a nice clean rendition of the Tetragrammaton that they used in the original SNES/Super Famicom Shin Megami Tensei boxes. After I finished watching the movie, I decided to skim through it, to find the scenes where it appeared. After a little while of trying to get the best screen cap that I could (timing was a b!tch) I was able to get a clean shot. [link]

At least I thought it was at first, I decided that I would try my hand at vectoring it out, but I soon found that to be a much harder task for me at my current level. So, I grabbed my line tool and began reworking the circle from the ground up, each symbol/letter within the inner circle was done by either editing the font slightly, or making it from scratch entirely. The wording/symbols in the outer circle are just that, no real heavy work here, accept those small crosses I did those, and at first I couldn't get the font to wrap around the circle! XD

Overall the Tetragrammaton is still a bit rough, but I'm still really proud of it! Here's a link since I know you can't see all of it on the case as is [link]

----
The main idea behind this box is a remake of the original SMT launch titles (SMT, SMT...if, & SMT2) onto the PS3, seeing as the originals were SNES games this could be seen as almost impossible. But I figured with the rise of SMT: Imagine Online, almost all of the original Characters could be recreated using their database, this is actually my plan for creating screens for this box (Not sure if I'm going to be able to pull it off flawlessly, but I'm sure as hell gonna try! XD)

Onto the renders, each of which was a redone illustration of the main cast of the original SMT titles done by Kazuma Keneko. I have the scans on my computer but the image quality was slightly lower than what I wanted, so I went online and found these specific images on Megami Tensei Wiki . I know I still have to render out what little is left of the while around them, that wont take too long to fix.

The logo on the front was also done by me, again nothing special, just some altered font and a blurr/glow effect. Also the text on the back near STEVEN, is from the opening of SMT 1, where the Devil Summoning Program begins it's initiation/start-up.

The Template is a combination of Scorpion Soldier's & Leegion's PS3 templates. With some edits of my own thrown in to the mix.
